Does an Intra Workout Give You Energy? | Technically, our intra-workout formula provides energy in the form of calories from essential amino acids, but that is not their primary ergogenic mechanism of action. However, other ingredients in this formula, like elevATP®, can increase cellular ATP production, conferring an "energy-boosting" effect. |
Who Should Take Intra Workout? | Intra-workout supplements are suitable for active individuals and athletes who want to maximize their performance in the gym and on the playing field. Our intra-workout formula is an exceptional alternative to traditional sugar-laden sports drinks that provide little else than electrolytes. |
Does this Product Contain Caffeine? | We didn't include caffeine in our intra-workout supplement since we offer several pre-workout supplements that contain caffeine. We wanted our pre-workout supplements to be compatible with this formula, and including caffeine would make this problematic due to ingredient overlap. |
What's the Difference Between EAAs and BCAAs? | Branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) are a subgroup of three essential amino acids: L-leucine, L-isoleucine, and L-valine. While all EAAs are necessary for protein synthesis, the BCAAs are often considered the key regulators of this process [23]. As such, the BCAAs comprise a high proportion of the total EAA content needed to facilitate muscle growth, and our intra-workout supplement reflects this [24]. |

In fact, one study found that a bolus of leucine-enriched EAAs after a workout stimulated protein synthesis as effectively as intact whey protein despite each supplement providing the same proportions of essential amino acids [2]. |
Taurine | 2,000 mg | Taurine is a non-proteinogenic amino acid often considered essential to pre-workout supplementation due to its diverse benefits for athletes and gym-goers. For one, taurine is a potent nootropic that promotes focus and attenuates brain cell inflammation and oxidative stress [5, 6]. Taurine can also enhance physical performance via increased blood flow to skeletal muscle tissue [7, 8]. Greater blood flow to muscle tissue encourages a favorable milieu for muscle function and recovery during training. BetaPure™ Betaine Anhydrous | 1,250 mg | Betaine, also referred to as trimethylglycine, is a derivative of endogenous choline metabolism, and it naturally occurs in plant species (especially sugar beets). In recent years, betaine has become a common ingredient in pre-workout supplements due to it's promise in enhancing athletic performance through diverse mechanisms [10, 11]. For one, betaine is an osmolytic compound that promotes cellular hydration, maintaining cellular volume and water balance during exercise. Betaine is also a crucial methyl donor for several biologically important molecules and a regulator of homocysteine levels, the latter of which is postulated to boost blood flow during training [12]. |
L-Tyrosine | 1,000 mg | L-tyrosine is a conditionally essential amino acid and precursor to dopamine and norepinephrine, two neurotransmitters that govern motivation and reward.
